PET DAYS 2013

Well last week was our pet week for 2013.  It was certainly an interesting and challenging week!  I had 22 animals participate! Twenty dogs and two cats.  Several of these animals were rescue pets.  Even though things got a little messy, it was very rewarding working with these pets!  Their personalities really came through.

       This was a fund raiser and food drive for Lenoir County SPCA.  This year, we will have a cutest pet contest at the end of this week, where you can go and vote for the cutest pet for a $1 a vote.  This money goes to the SPCA.  There will be a first, second, and third place winner.  Prizes were donated from  Pet Sense in Kinston, Pet Supplies Plus in Goldsboro, The Dog House in Kinston, The Village Steakhouse in Goldsboro and The Animal Hospital of Lenoir County.  I appreciate all the support from these great venders!  I hope this contest will raise much needed funds for the LCSPCA and that we can do this again next year.

Mini Diva "Pin Up" Session

I will be holding a Mini Diva "Pin Up" Session now through February.  I shot two this past week and we had a blast!  Lots of retro props and outfits.  Some a little more suggestive than others!  It's a fun and unique gift to give your significant other or record this time in your life!  Come by yourself or as a group.  A hair and make up artist can be added for an extra fee.  You can even put your images in a little black book!  Come celebrate your sexiness with a "Pin Up"  session!

North Carolina outer banks trip in November 2012

My husband and I had a chance to go with several other NC photographers to the outer banks for a photo shoot.  We went to Mattamuskeet and then up to Currituck and Nags Head. We had a blast!  I have never seen an eagle outside of a zoo and I actually got to photograph a bald head eagle and also an adolescent.  We photographed from sun up to sun down and got some interesting shots.  Mona Sadler, Willis and Jerry Brown, Chuck Hill, Emma Lupton and Tim Hester were a great group of people to hang out with and I look forward to going on more trips with them!  Mattamuskeet is definitely a place I will be visiting again.

Pet Days in January!

Pet days for the Lenoir County SPCA will be held January 23-26th.  This is a great opportunity to have your pet photographed by themselves or with you and contribute to the LCSPCA! The session fee is $35 & a 20 lb. of dog or cat food.  You will receive a 5x7 print of your furry friend and can also order from our regular packages.  You will have a full 1 hour session!  The food and part of the session fee will be donated to the LCSPCA.  You will also the automatically registered to be in our CUTEST PET CONTEST.  There will be over $300 in prizes!  Voting will be online.  Donations are from Pet Sense of Kinston, The DOG HOUSE  of Kinston, PET SUPPLIES PLUS of Goldsboro, and THE VILLAGE STEAKHOUSE of Goldsboro.

Cookies for Santa

 Martha Peoples Photography's November Storybook is "Cookies for Santa".  This scene will be rolling out dough and cutting out cookies.  We have aprons, but we will still make a mess!

This is the last Storybook scene for 2011.  Starting in January, we will have the fourth generation of the Storybook Club.  Each month will be a different unique one of a kind scene.

Halloween 2011

 We had a great turnout of ghouls and goblins for our Halloween open house on Saturday.  We had games, refreshments, prizes and face painting!  

The scene was a haunted house and it was a big success.  We will have the Halloween open house every year the Saturday before Halloween.
